It's here! STREET LEVEL

Updated: Mar 14, 2022

A book by street photographer, David Ofori Zapparoli. He shares some fascinating details about himself that informs the way that he photographs the people and world around him. It documents a 40 year journey that starts in Toronto and touches down in Paris, Playa del Carmen, Accra, Detroit, Berlin, Genoa, Prince Edward Island, and New Orleans--joyfully telling the story of so many which ultimately, becomes part of his own.

Over 100 pages that trace a journey of what he calls "very selective image making". Each photo receives commentary from the artist that details personal and photographic experience from the days of silver halides to the electronic pixels of today. Well placed poetry by Francisco Alexander Fwallah provides some highly perceptive analysis of selected photographs. Finally, it is all summed up with a sizzling back cover review by the Africadian bard extraordinaire, George Elliott Clarke.
